October photo favorites

^ Steven took the girls to indoor play place and apparently Ellie was a fierce racoon ; )

Babysat Lily and the girls were being little mommys.

Ellie did her first running race. It's a one mile race for kids and adults can tag along with them as well. Steven had to work, but our good friend Andrew did the race with Ellie, while Paige and I cheered from the sidelines. Ellie did it in 10:45 and had such a fun time! Plus, Steven was able to get away from work for a few moments and surprised us when she finished the race!

^ Each kid got a medal at the end!

^ We are all anxiously awaiting the arrival of our friends baby; Rosemary. Ellie drew our friends family, including baby Rosie!

^ Went on a neighborhood walk with the girls and we collected items from this beautiful fall.

The last few years we've gone over to our friends house to jump in the leaves.
It's another fun fall activity.

Ellie's school went on a field trip to the pumpkin patch and us girls got to enjoy it again with each other. Ellie would have spent even more hours there doing all the things and with her friends.

^ These flowers were on the counter and when Ellie saw them she said, "I have an idea!" She takes them to her room and comes out like this saying, "I'm ready for my wedding day!"

^ These girls are attached at the hip. This was after church one day, but it could be one from any week, because they are always doing this.

^ Paige will randomly want to hold my hand and it's the sweetest thing.

^ More drawings by Ellie. I love seeing the evolution of her people, objects and images (her flowers and their deatils and her abiliy to draw hearts).

^ All on Ellie's own accord she came up with the idea of cutting out a star, a diamond and a paper that says 'twinkle twinkle little star', for props while singing the song. I love her imagination and creativity. (Note: I am the one who cut the shapes out and colored the diamond.)

^ Paige has had a strong love for Frozen this month.
This morning she wanted to watch the movie AND hold the book.

^ This is Ellie's drawing of her and Paige's Halloween costumes; Ellie a butterfly and Paige a kitty!

^ I was able to go to Ellie's school Harvest party. Steven and Paige were also able to come for their parade where they walk around and get candy. She was bascially smling the whole time.

^ This was the first year we went trick or treating. Ellie was so excited and did a fantastic job. Paige was of course a bit apprehensive, but got some courage as the night went on and was able to say all the things for candy.

5th Annual Pumpkin Patch

Early October we were able to do one of my favorite fall traditions - going to the pumpkin patch. My love for it has been instilled in Ellie and it's been so fun to see it grow each year. This year Paige was more into the festivities as well. And what makes this trip even more enjoyable is having friends join us.

These two have a cute fondness for each other and they started off the evening holding hands!

^ Last year Ellie wanted to go through this lizard/dragon thing, but got too afraid. This year, she really wanted to try again and was successful in going through. Paige even went in there with us and they both wanted to do it again and again. (It's dark inside with some special lights, has a winding walkway and heartbeat sound - nothing too scary.)

Ellie had her heart on a white pumpkin and she found one she liked.

Here are Abe and Paige being adorable again with some hugs! They were both smiling so big.
