December photo favorites

^ Art by Ellie. Flower garden outside and a Christmas tree inside the house.

^ Blurry picture with the lovely trash can, but I just wanted to snap this sweet moment of Ellie dancing with Steven.

^ These days of Ellie wanting to match me probably aren't going to last for long.

^ Picture taken right after Ellie's school Christmas program. During her program, she literally swayed back and forth during every single song. This girl loves to dance.

^ Today, and almost once a week, we celebrate this baby's birthday (her name is Goosey). In the picture on the left, we're singing Happy Birthday and in the picture on the right, it's an up-close of the cake Ellie made.

^ We switched Paige's car seat to front-facing this month and she was quite excited about it. This already big girl looks even bigger! And I'll add that the girls have bickered less now that Paige can't reach Ellie with her feet. Ha!

^ We have a tradition to drive around and look at Christmas lights. In the picture above we were at a house, you could actually walk around at. The girls were in their pjs and it was a fun night.

The picture above: Paige insisted on wearing her glasses, on a not so sunny day and wear them inside as well. And then, the picture below: Paige had made her way up to the driver's seat while I grabbed some things from the back of the car. Just putting my lip gloss on and looking older like her sister (copying what her big sister does in a common accurance).

^ Getting into mischief this one. Not sure what her plan was when she got them all out, probaby open them, and I understand her excitment.

^ Youth movie night at our church. We love our church.

^ Princess Paige getting all dolled up.

Little setups by Ellie.

We went to check out this amazing set up of lights in a city nearby. We're trying to find new and fun things to do during the Christmas season. It was our first time here and it didn't disappoint; there are over a million lights!

^ Christmas Eve service at church!
Ellie enjoys coming into the service for worship on Sundays and for Christmas Eve it was a family-friendly service (nursery age-Pre-K classes were available), though we decided to let Ellie be with us the whole time. She truly enjoyed it.

^ After church we went to a friends parents house. These girls were blessed with some cute backpacks and Lily a purse by an adoptive like Grandma here in town. It was a nice Christmas Eve with friends.

These girls LOVE baby Rosie. Every time we see this sweet babe the girls want to hold her.

^ T'was the night before Christmas...

^ Ellie had recieved the game Candy Land from a teacher at church on Christmas Eve. And first thing Christmas morning, Ellie brought this game onto our bed to play while we waited for Paige to wake.

After the girls would open a present they would hug it! ha. They were loving all their gifts!

^ This year we weren't with any family for Christmas which was bitter sweet for sure. However, we FaceTimed with Steven's parents, as well as my mom and step dad Christmas morning and that was really nice!

^ Front view of our annual gingerbread house creations. Steven and Ellie's are on the right,  Paige and I's on the left.

Kait birthday celebrations...morning/day time with the family and an evening with some dear friends!
It was a wonderful, and yummy, time!

Celebrated New Year's Eve at a friends house! All the kids, minus one little boy, in the picture above - so many girls! We ate and drank yummy things and us adults laughed till our faces hurt. Our girls got to use sparklers for the first time and inside I was trying not to be too nervous about it! Such a fun time even though we didn't make it to midnight!

November photo favorites

Walking, playing, fountain water show and treats with our girls at The Village.

(Paige was favoring this pink sweater all month long...as you'll see in the photos below.)

^ Lunch date at Steven's work and "Mr. Bones" is always there to tag along in the break room.

^ Ellie (and Paige) like to put my lip gloss on. This particular morning Ellie made her way up to the driver seat, asked if she could get some on, pulled down the mirror and proceeded to look like a teenager while putting on the gloss. No big deal.

^ They wanted to coordinate (which happens often).

^ Ellie wanted to write out some things that she's been wanting for Christmas and drew a coordinating picture with each item...
- dress, skirt, pants, toy, purse, wallet

^ Paige put her pillow on the other end of her bed, laid her blanket out for under her head and fell asleep that way.

^ Drawing by Ellie: K (Kait) on the left and S (Steven) on the left (holding hearts), Christmas tree in the middle and hearts above.

^ Got the girls their own drink at Dutch Bros (maybe the first time we did that?) and they were super happy about it.

^ Another drawing by Ellie: a girl holding a kite, while getting a treat out of a gumball machine.

^ Apparently this month we were all about treats...we really don't get treats this close together!
But while Steven and I were killing some time with Paige before heading back to Ellie's school for her Thanksgiving Feast (next photo below), we decided to hit up Krispy Kreme! It made for a nice time with her.

^ Some of our dear friends welcomed their second daughter this month; Rosemary and I've been loving the newborn snuggles!

Steven's sister and family came to town for a visit and we enjoyed hanging out and doing some fun things! The Village again, Frozen 2 and Christmas lights to name a few.

^ Thanksgiving morning walk to the store

^ Paige has also loved baby Rosemary; asking to "hold it" often. She is so cute.
This Thanksgiving we weren't with any family but we were very grateful for the time we got to spend with these friends.

First snow of the season! It wasn't much, but the moment the girls knew it was coming down they wanted to go out in it.

^ Ellie has been doing this silly face when she wants me to take her photo.
Paige and she were surprised to see such a huge Olaf. And Paige is still spotting and pointing out any Frozen characters anywhere we go.

^ Dress up time and Ellie wanted their photo taken.
