One month

Size: Her last well check was a few days before her two week mark (6.15)...weight: 7.96 lbs and her length wasn't taken. Wears size 1 diapers and clothes ranging in size from newborn to 3 months. She's however grown out of a lot of newborn clothes. Already she's surpassing Ellie's growth charts.

Sleep: There isn't any schedule yet for her, but thankfully she has good chunks of sleep between awaking/feedings at night. She's only waking twice a night these last several weeks and even though that can be a little hard, we know it could be so much more. We have put her in her crib since the first night we were home and that is going well. Naps are kind of all over the place during the day and in different places/spots - mamaRoo, carseat, our arms, one of the carriers/wraps and crib. And she can sleep fairly well through Ellie's crazy noise making throughout the day.

Eating: She is exclusively breastfed and within a couple days of her being born we got it figured out. Latching was so much better sooner than it was with Ellie and I am so grateful for that. She's a more efficient eater than Ellie was as well. I do tend to feed her when she acts hungry though vs. getting her on a schedule. And on average she nurses about 9 times in a 24 hour period. She's been cluster feeding quite often during the evening hours, which doesn't always line up well with Ellie's bedtime. Paige can get fussy pretty fast during this time and so Ellie's routine has been shortened a bit since her arrival. I handled things differently when Ellie was this age and I realized, a little later than I should have, that she would have been a much happier baby if I hadn't tried to create a schedule early on. I'm not sure I knew about cluster feedings after Ellie was born, so that has been eye opening this time.

Milestones/accomplishments:
-Makes eye contact and follows you/objects around with her head
-Tries to coo
-Holding her head up off your shoulder, which she started doing really well around 2 weeks

Likes:
-Being swaddled
-Being in the Moby wrap and Ergo
-The mamaRoo. Really grateful for this - we didn't have one with Ellie and it's been helpful and worked for the most part so far!

Dislikes:
These aren't 100% of the time, but not always her favorite...
-Getting her diaper changed when she's hungry or was just woken up
-Sometimes gas pains, burps and pooping
-The end of baths and getting dried off

Additional things I want to remember:
-How I can soothe her fast.
-The way she stares at my face when she's being held by my shoulder.
-How Ellie tells Paige, "It's ok Paige, you don't need to cry."
-How she almost always has to pee and/or poop more during a diaper change. We are constantly needing to replace the extra little cover we have on the changing pads.
