September Alaska Trip

In September we took a two week trip to Alaska! Basically all the family on Steven's side of the family live there. It had been almost 2 years since we had visited there last, so to say we were due for a trip was an understatement. 

^ Paige did great on all the flights (first time flying). Give the girls food, toys, (Ellie a show) and cuddles; they were happy!

^ The cousins weren't at all excited to see us ; ). They loved on the girls a lot! 

^ I remembered that I had this photo of Ellie during a visit there (taken December 23, 2015).

And I wanted to get the same one of Paige (taken September 7, 2018)! 

Paige loved getting close to the littlest cousin, Beckett!

Steven and I got to get away for two days and a night to Anchorage. We were blessed with the opportunity to leave the girls with the grandparents (thank you again Don and Melanie!!!) to celebrate our 10th anniversary! It was rejuvenating and weird to have that time to ourselves. It was the first time leaving Paige overnight and first time being that far away from Ellie. Plus, I'm always running on the girls' "routines" and schedules, so not worrying about that was nice!

Not only are these photos cute of Ellie and cousin Ava, but look at those beautiful yellow trees in the background! It was a beautiful fall for sure!

^ When the guys started their running back up (after getting some fuel), the girls started running after them! haha

^ The FINISH! They came in at about 5 hours and 20 minutes. 

^ All the immidiate cousins from left to right: Jaxon (almost age 8), Beckett (age 2 months), Ava (age 6), Ellie (age 3.5), Finley (age 5) and Paige (age 15 months). 

Uncle Bryan took all the girls out for a ride. They loved it!

There was a joint birthday party for Steven (turned 31) and Ava (turning 6). We loved getting to celebrate with the family!

We were tired, but loved our time in Alaska and will treasure those days there!
